Sprinter is that rare condition when spring has sprung, but we still have incredible January-like snow conditions in the middle of March and April.
This isn’t the polar vortex or snowmageddon of other metropolitan areas. When we hit the snow jackpot, as we have this winter, we rejoice the weather and hit the slopes.
And we’re not the only ones, our guests love SPRINTER, too!
March came in like a lion with 2 more feet of champagne powder for our guests to play in and, with another snowstorm in the forecast, it looks like mother nature will be treating us to some phenomenal sprinter conditions all the way through April 14th. If you haven’t been to Steamboat, yet, this season, it’s time to get up here!
If the snow isn’t enough to entice you to come here (which does seem kind of crazy, to us), maybe the costumes and camaraderie of the kooky Springalicious events will get you packing.
Bud Light Rocks the Boat (and rocks the base area!)
Every Saturday in March and April, Steamboat skiers are treated to a base area apres-ski concert. These are family-friendly shows that will have you back to your chalet at a decent hour. Concerts all start at 4 pm.

Cardboard Classic
This long-standing event requires nothing more than a box, some duct tape, glue, string, a whole lot of imagination and a desire to test the laws of physics while roaring down the hill in a crazy costume. April 13th.
Splashdown Pond Skim
This season-ending event defies the forces of gravity and sanity. Bathing suit and costume-clad hotdoggers compete for the craziest stunt while attempting to cross the entire icy pond. It’s Mardi Gras meets X-games and is always a good time.
Rollercoaster, Night Skiing & Friday Night Fireworks
Who needs to wait until the 4th of July when you can have fireworks on Fridays all ski season long! The fireworks show continues through the end of March. And when those end, we have our own version of Friday Night Lights with night skiing and roller coaster riding.
