Beaver Creek Village is a beautiful destination with exceptional shopping, dining, and activities, with a quaint Alpine vibe. With many roads and walkways leading to the Village, it is easy to access by foot, leading to a whole day of fun. In winter, an ice skating rink in the middle of the village is great entertainment, with several fire pits to gather around. In the summer, the ice skating rink is covered with turf and turns into a fun family zone with games, picnic tables, and a stage for performances. Plush couches surround the firepits, a great place to enjoy a scoop of gelato and watch the excitement.
HERE ARE SOME OF THE TOP ACTIVITIES IN BEAVER CREEK VILLAGE:
Visit the Beaver Creek Adventure Center
Located at the base of the Centennial Express Lift, the Beaver Creek Adventure Center is a must-do activity, open from 9 am-4:30 pm. Kids of all ages will enjoy the exciting bungee trampoline, reaching new heights on the climbing wall, hitting the links at mini golf, or the Western tradition of panning for gems in this fun-filled family adventure zone. Get an Adventure Pass that includes a scenic chairlift ride and five activities.
Take a summer chairlift ride
If you've never ridden a chairlift without heavy skis and boots on - this will be an exciting new experience to sail over the summer trails with the warm air and sunshine to keep you comfortable. Look for wildlife and view mountain vistas, then enjoy lunch at the Spruce Saddle, or take some time to hike around and explore.
Enjoy some spectacular hiking
With miles of scenic trails and any ability level, hiking the Beaver Creek mountain is a great way to see what is hiding under all that snow you skied on all winter. In summer, wildflowers are abundant and include Columbine (the state flower of Colorado!), Lupine, and Indian Paintbrush. Families and beginners should try the Beaver Creek Village Lunch loop - a favorite loop from the village for a lunchtime hike, early morning training hike, or a leisurely outing with the family combining a handful of trails. The more adventurous can try the Overlook Trail on the ski area, a 6.2-mile out-and-back trail with open views in every direction.
Gear up and go mountain biking
Rent a bike and hit the trails, from beginner to advanced, and enjoy some spectacular scenery along the way. The mountain biking at Beaver Creek is amazing for a couple of reasons - the trails are never crowded, the terrain is rolling and expansive, with single track for all levels of ability, and you will bike through lush aspen groves that open to incredible views. Try the beginner Village to Village Trail (14 miles), a friendly single-track traversing to the easternmost border of the resort with a long and rolling descent back to the base. More advanced riders can try Beano’s Hill Climb (3.1 miles and nearly 1,500 feet), a challenging ascent starting from the Red Tail Camp area and arriving at the top of the Strawberry Park Chair. It will be worth it for the view from the top, and well-deserved bragging rights after.
Take in a show at the Vilar Performing Arts Center
Located in the heart of Colorado’s Beaver Creek Resort, this grand 530-seat theater, owned and operated by the Vail Valley Foundation, presents a variety of year-round performances including concerts, jazz, comedy, dance, film, Broadway musicals, theatre, family shows, and more.
