A spacious great room invites both relaxation and entertaining with its high ceilings and lavish furnishings. Leather sofas invite you to lounge in front of the large stone fireplace and TV. Easy access to the kitchen and dining areas makes for a perfect après ski space. Venture out to the covered deck to enjoy views of the ski mountain or soak the day away in the hot tub and watch the stars at night.
A gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and includes the finest appliances from Wolf and Sub-Zero. The rich tones of the custom alder cabinets and granite counters will inspire the creativity of any chef, with bar seating for onlookers.
The fine craftsmanship of the interior woodwork is complemented by the adjoining dining area featuring a handcrafted 10-person alder dining table.
The chalet offers four spacious bedrooms, each one with an ensuite bathroom. The primary bedroom on the upper level is a beautiful private retreat with a fireplace, king bed, TV, sitting area, and deck access. A private ensuite includes a soaking tub and walk-in shower. Also on the upper level is a great bunkroom the kids will enjoy with two twin over queen bunks and ensuite bath. A loft area with a desk is a great space for remote working.
On the main level are two more beautiful king ensuite rooms, each with the option for a king bed or two XL twin beds. Both rooms have TVs and ensutie baths.
Enjoy family game or movie night in the lower-level family room, featuring a billiards table, large screen TV, Sony PlayStation2, and comfortable couches.
The separate mudroom includes a boot dryer and plenty of storage for all your gear. The chalet is equipped with an elevator serving all floors. Ski access is a breeze at Brown Bear Chalet as the Moving Mountains shuttle service will take you to the Thunderhead Express Chairlift in just a few minutes.

All Moving Mountains properties have WIFI and come fully stocked with paper products (paper towels, toilet paper, tissues), bathroom toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap), and detergents (dish, dishwasher, and laundry) as well as clean bed linens and towels. In addition, the kitchens are stocked with aluminum foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, sponges, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea, Nespresso, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils, and standard small appliances.

Very expedient and thorough service.
This vacation was incredible! It fit our 3 families, consisting of 6 adults, 2 being elderly, and 3 kids, so well. Everyone was comfortable sleeping in their own space and we all enjoyed time together around the dinner table and separately in various parts of the house such as playing pool or video games, quiet reading in the study area, hockey games (GO AVS!) and of course the hot tub! Short drive down to the base/village or into town. If you plan on doing any kind of cooking, bring your spices or anything that you need, down to cooking spray or oil. Its a great kitchen to work in.
Absolutely 100% happy with our 2 weeks and Steamboat. Jill and Mallory and all the other's could not have been better. came home to 105 degree's. need to go back. Thank you again
This place is amazing. I brought my parents and 90 year old grandma to stay in this home and we had an incredible time. The home is equipped with an elevator which was great for my grandma (and for me when I unloaded the car). The bedrooms are all of a comfortable size and have en suite bathrooms. The kitchen is massive and beautifully equipped, I?ve never seen my dad drool over an appliance until he saw the oven when we stayed here. The mud room is like something you?d find at a resort. Also - the garage doors are like 10 feet high so no worries if you have the SUV+roofbox combo. The place is a legit 10/10. Mark
Bears Grande - Black Bear and Brown Chalet combined
My family rented both lodges for a week. We were a group of 21 including babies. There was ample space for all of us. The lodges are beautifully furnished and equipped with everything you need especially if you want to self cater. We also loved the hot tubs and bbqs! The lodge is located down the road from Thunderhead Lift so a shuttle is required. However Moving Mountains provided an excellent shuttle service. The staff were always punctual and friendly. We enjoyed a fantastic week in Steamboat. Thanks Moving Mountains!

Very Centrally located for the whole extended family. Close to the slopes, shops and town centre. Every amenity that we could possibly ask for (and more). Spacious, warm, beautifully furnished and wonderful hot tubs to relax in. A wonderful place to gather family and friends.
