Endless activity and peaceful serenity on 2.7 acres awaits your pleasure anytime of the year at the Lakota Outpost Lodge. Nature's power is revealed through the Native American interior details and the surrounding rugged, mountain, landscape. Winter at the Outpost brings sledding, snowshoeing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling right to your door. Summertime fun abounds with four-wheel drives and hiking trails out the back door, gold panning in the slough below the Outpost after a rain storm, or a snooze on the warm, sunny deck. Any tribe will delight in the peace and enjoyment of the Outpost.

Due to Homeowner Association restrictions, this home is not available for weddings, events or large gatherings.

    The entire structure of Lakota Outpost Lodge is constructed with square, full scribed, old growth pine logs. This secluded, western outpost contains 6000 square feet of endless spaciousness and eagle-eye, mountain views. Priceless pottery, paintings, sculptures, authentic weapons and artifacts throughout the lodge illustrate the hallmarks of Native American design. Perfect for avid snowmobile lovers.

    Central Outpost

    The Blackfoot Great Room is a massive space with cathedral ceilings, exposed log beams, tons of windows, and 2 sets of french doors leading to the outpost deck. The river rock, gas fireplace with slate seating hearth rivals with the awesome views for the focal point of the great room. Leather sofas and matching overstuffed chair with ottoman, entertainment center with TV/VCR and extensive selection of videos including children's movies, stereo with CD player and PlayStation. The ambiance of a western lodge combined with ancient Indian symbols, relics and style creates a truly authentic frontier feel. Down the hall from the great room is a half bath and laundry room.

    The open floor plan of the expansive Kitchen gracefully welcomes many cooks. The vaulted ceilings, expansive counter spaces and huge breakfast bar island with 6 stools provide tons of elbow room for your entire group. Equipped with all major appliances, custom pine cabinetry, deck access and views.

    Part of the kitchen is the KitchDen,an extension of the kitchen that works as a comfy den, complete with overstuffed futon couch and an antique reproduction, oak roll-top desk.

    The conventional Dining Room is situated between the great room and kitchen. Furnished with a formal, yet practical family style table seating 8, china cabinet, brass chandelier and a sunny bay window providing even more leg room.

    (Sleeps 2) Off the greatroom is the Chief Joseph Suite. An inclusive master bedroom with views, privacy, ambiance and spaciousness. Stretch out in the King WaterBed, enjoy the mountain views through the french doors, and switch on the gas fireplace, constructed of natural river rock and slate hearth. Perfectly situated next to the warmth of the fireplace is a leather chair. The exposed logs compliment the Native American decor and antique oak furnishings. Also equipped with walk-in closet and master bath with oversized jacquzzi tub, separate shower, dual sinks, and vanity. This suite is named after the famous Nez Perce leader who said in 1877 "From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever".

    The Sprawling Deck is accessed from any room on the main level and stretches the entire length of the lodge. The perfect setting with majestic views, rugged landscape, mature pine trees, benches, patio chairs and gas grill. Truly one of the grandest places on the Outpost.

    Top of the Outpost


    (Sleeps 3) Up the log staircase through the open loft overlooking the greatroom is the Trappers Bunk Room. The exposed logs, vaulted ceilings, turn of the century snow shoes and skis and native american artifacts makes this a cozy hideaway. Sleeping up to 3, the captains bunk has a twin on the top and a double bed on the bottom. Adjacent full bath with jacquzzi tub/shower.

    (Sleeps 2) Across the hall is the Early American Room . A quiet, rustic cabin style bedroom with antique, four post Queen WaterBed, decorated with antique reproduction furnishings. Adjacent hall bath shared with bunk room.

    Low Post

    (Sleeps 2) This additional living area on the lower level, the Siting Bull Room, is a sprawling space, perfect for active little-ones in the tribe. A large kitchenette with microwave, refrigerator, stove and extra cabinets and counter space. TV/VCR and Foosball table provide entertainment. A comfy couch transforms to a Queen sofa sleeper. 2 sets of French doors lead to the out-of-doors. Entry from the garage is on this level. The 6-person hot tub is outside the lower level.

    (Sleeps 2) The Chief Plenty Coups Suite named for the last traditional chief of the Crows is just off the rec room and is ultimately private. Another spacious bedroom with king bed, oversize closet and French doors. Full bath off rec room with jacquzzi tub/shower.
